Projekta ietvaros projekta partneris SIA Nano RAY-T sintezēja daudzsienu un viensienu oglekļa nanocaurulītes anoda elektrodiem, to izmantošanai litija jona baterijās. Tāpat tika sintezētas vertikāli novietotas oglekļa nanocaurulītes to izmantošanai anoda elektrodos litija jona baterijās.
The European Raw Materials Alliance (ERMA) aims to make Europe economically more resilient by diversifying its supply chains, creating jobs, attracting investments to the raw materials value chain, fostering innovation, training young talents and contributing to the best enabling framework for raw materials and the Circular Economy worldwide.
The Alliance addresses the challenge of securing access to sustainable raw materials, advanced materials, and industrial processing know-how. By 2030, ERMA’s activities will increase the production of raw and advanced materials and address Circular Economy by boosting the recovery and recycling of Critical Raw Materials. More specifically, the Alliance will:
Our Innovation Analysts recently looked into emerging technologies and up-and-coming startups working on solutions for the engineering sector. As there is a large number of startups working on a wide variety of solutions, we want to share our insights with you. This time, we are taking a look at 5 promising Carbon Nanotube startups.
Using our StartUs Insights Platform, covering 1.116.000+ startups & emerging companies, we looked at innovation in the field of carbon nanotubes. For this research, we identified 140 relevant solutions and picked 5 to showcase below. These companies were chosen based on a data-driven startup scouting approach, taking into account factors such as location, founding year, and technology among others. Depending on your specific criteria, the top picks might look entirely different.
The Global Startup Heat Map below highlights 5 startups & emerging companies developing carbon nanotube solutions. Moreover, the Heat Map reveals regions that observe a high startup activity and illustrates the geographic distribution of all 140 companies we analyzed for this specific topic.
Battery technology regularly evolves to achieve a greater charge capacity with a smaller form factor, while maintaining structural integrity. Newly-developed carbon nanotube-based batteries can maintain up to twice the charge of a traditional lithium-ion battery, which is highly beneficial for future applications in 5G and mobile computing, among others.
Nano RAY-T, a startup based in Latvia, provides a technology platform for carbon nanotubes manufacturing. Their platform integrates or grows carbon nanotubes on both conductive and non-conductive substrates. High purity and stable characteristics of their carbon nanotubes create an ideal material for use in multiple applications such as electric vehicles, energy storage, military equipment, and more..........
During the project we planning to make laboratory prototype of a complete battery sample with Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia.
We belives that with EIT funding and EIT RawMaterials strategic partners will help us to move our technology to the market.
At the moment the technology readiness level is TRL4 –technology validated in lab.
After EIT funding we planning to reach TRL 6 –technology demonstrated in a relevant environment.
At 3 months we planning to make a laboratory prototype of the complete battery sample and validate it in an independent laboratory. We agree on implementation of the Project “Development of innovative binder-free anode electrodes for lithium-ion batteries” co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund within the Specific Support Objective “Improve research and innovation capacity and the ability of Latvian research institutions to attract external funding, by investing in human capital and infrastructure” of the Operational Program “Growth and Employment”.
Project co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund
Meet G-Fair Korea 2019 Pitch Contest winner 👉Latvian science startup EnergoPlus! Congrats 🎉
The company develops unique anode materials that can increase battery capacity more than 5x times‼️For example, now battery in smartphones needs to be charged almost every day, the same battery produced with the company’s material will be charged once a week!
